Proposed Change of Primary Care Network (PCN) for Langstone Way Surgery Patient survey

Overview

Dear Patient,

We are writing to ask for your views about a proposed change involving your GP practice.

Langstone Way Surgery is a member of Barnet Primary Care Network (PCN) 4, with three other GP practices and they have requested to move to PCN 3, with seven practices.

A Primary Care Network is a group of practices that work together to offer more services to patients from staff such as pharmacists, physiotherapists and dietitians, including providing evening or weekend appointments. The PCNs also work closely with other services like social care and mental health.

Why is this change happening

Langstone Way Surgery is requesting this change because, Wentworth Medical Centre GP partners are now the contract holders for the practice, the two contracts will merge, and they want to align services that are delivered across PCN3.

This means that from when the contracts merge, and by appointment,  patients will have access to the following services at the PCN3 hub based at Wenworth Medical Practice.

These include:

• Extended hours appointments at Wentworth Medical Practice

• In-house Physiotherapy services at Wentworth Medical Practice

• Clinical Pharmacist appointments at both practices

• Mental Health Practitioner (MHP) appointments at Wentworth Medical Practice

In addition, patients will be able to access evening (6:30-9:00 pm) and weekend (8:00 am to 8:pm) appointments from the Wentworth Medical Practice.

You do not need to do anything, your registration with Langstone Way Surgery will not change, but you may see a change in the location and services offered.
