Brunswick Medical Centre - Patient Survey

Closed 31 Oct 2024

Opened 23 Sep 2024

Overview

NHS North Central London Integrated Care Board (the organisation responsible for services in Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Haringey and Islington) is proposing that Brunswick Medical Centre is relocated to a new space in nearby Hunter Street.

This does not mean that your GP practice will close or that you will need to find a new doctor – your GP practice services will continue uninterrupted.

Brunswick Medical Centre currently provides services from the Brunswick Centre where the practice has use of five clinical rooms to see patients face-to-face. In recent years, the number of registered patients has grown to over 9,100. As a result, the practice requires additional space which the current building cannot provide.

The proposed move to Hunter Street is intended to ensure Brunswick Medical Centre is fit for future working and able to deliver the best care for patients.

The new location would enable staff to provide services to patients from eight clinical rooms. Situated across two floors, these rooms meet the new specifications for clinical rooms. The site also features a patient lift, space for community services and would enable staff from a range of professions to work together to improve patient care.

Brunswick Medical Centre would join a GP practice currently located in the building, sharing a single reception with each practice retaining their own dedicated clinical rooms.

The proposed location at 8 Hunter Street, WC1N 1BN is 0.2 miles (approximately a four-minute walk) from the current building.

You can share your views on the proposal by completing the following short survey. What we hear from registered patients and local stakeholders such as MPs, local councillors and Healthwatch will inform a decision by NHS North Central London Integrated Care Board in due course.

If you would like some help to fill out this survey for any reason, please speak to your GP practice reception team. Alternatively, paper versions of this survey are also available in your practice.
