Overview
NHS North Central London Clinical Commissioning Group (NCL CCG) is seeking your views on our draft single Fertility Policy. The engagement window for giving us your feedback is open from Monday 22 November 2021 to Sunday 13 February 2022.
You can complete the survey by clicking on the link towards the bottom of this screen. In addition to the online survey there will be further opportunities to give feedback by attending public meetings or inviting CCG staff to join local meetings to discuss the policy.
You can view the latest information on our public website (Fertility Policy Development - North Central London CCG) or you can contact the team by email nclccg.fertility-development@nhs.net or telephone 020 3688 2038.
Why have we drafted a single Fertility Policy?
In North Central London there are currently five fertility policies in place – one each for Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Haringey and Islington. This is because, before the formation of the North Central London CCG in April 2020, each CCG had its own policy. There are some variations between the five policies that, now we are one CCG, we want to eliminate by developing a new, single draft policy. The CCG recognises what an important issue access to fertility treatment is for some of our residents, and have followed a robust approach to developing a single NCL Fertility Policy.
Stage 1 – Fertility Policies Review (now completed)
This stage included understanding the latest national guidance and best practice and seeking views from stakeholders (including the public, service users, primary care, secondary care and specialist clinicians). A set of recommendations were developed, which informed production of a draft single NCL fertility policy. You can view the Recommendations Report and Engagement Report by clicking on the links at the bottom of this screen.
Stage 2 – Single Fertility Policy Development (now open)
We are now undertaking the second stage – the development of the new single Fertility Policy for North Central London. The draft policy is now available and can be accessed at the bottom of this page. You will also find below a glossary of terms which we hope you find useful.
We are keen to hear your views on the draft policy and invite you to complete the survey by following the link at the bottom of this page.
You can find other ways to share your views on our website https://northcentrallondonccg.nhs.uk/fertilitypolicies/.
The views you share will be carefully considered by the CCG as we finalise the single Fertility Policy, and how we promote the policy when it is approved.
You can view below a comparison table showing the draft NCL policy, national guidance and current policies.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
Yours faithfully
