GP Survey
Overview
Camden CCG are looking at ways to clarify and strengthen pathways, roles and relationships between primary care and maternity services.
We want to:
- Gain a greater understanding of which practices refer to which Trusts and streamline the referral process for pregnant women
- Identify any issues, concerns or gaps in communication between maternity services and primary care
- Understand where GPs are referring women with perinatal mental health concerns at present
- Identify when and where shared care is being provided
- Understand any training needs or areas where GPs would like more information, for example around symphysis fundal measurement
Why your views matter
By scoping the current services we hope to identify where improvements need to be made and also ensure that clinicians offering shared care have access to adequate training. We are running an education event on 17th November and this feedback will help us make this event as useful as possible. These findings will also inform the development of the North Central London Maternity Strategic Clinical Network’s plans for 16/17 and beyond and feed into a new Perinatal Mental Health strategy.
