Eye (ophthalmology) surgery proposals: Feedback survey
Overview
The NHS in North Central London (NCL) is seeking feedback on proposed changes to where some patients have planned eye surgery. The proposals will help us to carry out an estimated additional 3,000 eye surgery procedures a year and potentially reduce waits for sight-saving surgery for some people by up to four weeks.
Why your views matter
We would like to hear the views of patients, the public, and partners on the proposals and to understand ways in which we can provide the best possible experience for all patients, if implemented. This includes residents of Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Haringey, and Islington and neighbouring areas who may choose to use hospital services in NCL. We are particularly interested in hearing from anyone who has current or recent experience of eye surgery services, or anyone who may need these services in future, and their families and carers.
What happens next
The opportunity to give feedback is open from 21 August to 16 October 2023.
Following the engagement period, we will publish a report on our website summarising the feedback received.
